A Brief History
PM Services was founded in 1986 in California by the company’s President & CEO, Carole Metour. Originally Ms. Metour was joined in the venture by a partner who is no longer associated with the company. Ms. Metour has full interest in the Company, Both Ms. Metour and her associate came from many years of experience in hospital operations, management and maintenance, and both left lucrative careers in hospital management to pursue this new venture. The Company was founded on a concept that included many of the stringent management and operational standards set by the JCAHO.
PM Services moved its operations to Florida in 1993 and was incorporated as The Preventive Maintenance Services Company becoming the PM Services of today. The successor company assumed all assets and liabilities of the former and the California entity was formally dissolved in 1995. PM Services focused its efforts on the area of Commercial Facilities Maintenance, as well as providing management, operations and support services to various components of the public sector.
Headquartered in St Petersburg, Florida, PM Services has grown to over 200 staff and craftsmen across its network of contract obligations. PM Services’ gross revenue in 2005 was $11.9 million and over $13.9 million by the end of 2006, 2007 revenue was $16.04M, 2008 revenue totaled $18M. The PM Services’ accounting system was audited and approved by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).
PM Services received its 8(a) certification from the Small Business Administration (SBA) in July 2001 for performance of work under NAICS Code 561210 and was awarded three contracts in 2002 under the 8(a) program totaling $10M and two additional sole source contracts in 2004 for an additional $4.6M. However, the majority of contracts with the Federal Government have been awarded after competition, either as a small business set-aside or on an unrestricted competitive basis in which we have been determined by the Government to provide the Best Value. The Company is currently performing facilities operations and maintenance contracts for various military and governmental agencies.
